With February already behind us, it’s time to start thinking about your upcoming social media plans, and that includes knowing the best TikTok trends for March.

Don’t worry if you’re stuck for ideas. I’ve spent the last week keeping tabs on the small businesses crushing it on TikTok and noted the trends giving them the most success. Read on for a breakdown of each trend and how you can join in. I’ve even attached the correlating sound and visual examples, so it couldn’t be easier to jump on the trend yourself!

1. Historical AI POV Reinactment

🎵 Trending sound for this video: POV Lab

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up as a child during the stone age, or a peasant during the French revolution? I can’t say either is at the top of my bucket list, but AI point of view (POV) TikTok videos like these have surged in the last week.

One particular video from TikTok user POV Lab, depicting a first hand experience of the Black Plague in London, sparked the idea for a huge trend. TikTok users have been filming day-in-the-life content mimicking the style of the AI videos by using the same sound, strapping their phones to their bodies, and reaching their hands out dramatically.

How To Execute This Trend

You’ll need to be hands free for this video style, so grab some tape or something to hold your phone against your chest and you’ll be good to go. Use text along the lines of “POV: you wake up as a small business owner in [your location] in 2025” and film behind the scenes business content!

2. You Know In a Moment, It Could All Boom

🎵 Trending sound for this video: Headlock x Jinx from Arcane

This versatile sound has been doing the rounds in all sorts of TikTok circles. From verbalizing explosive friendship breakups to noticing a shocking plot twist in a TV show, it fits any scenario that involves a sudden change of trajectory – hence the “Boom!”

How To Execute This Trend

Internet drama aside, small businesses have given it a more positive approach, using the sound to show how their business has progressed. The first slide usually includes the text “Why do you keep posting your small business?” with the word “Boom” overlaying the business glow up.

You can participate in this trend in a few ways, such as posting a carousel of images to show off a new product line, or to share each stage of the creation process for a singular product.

3. Our Emergency Contact

🎵 Trending sound for this video: Ordinary Girl – Hannah Montana

The emergency contact TikTok trend is simple and fun. The creator posts a video of a friend, colleague, or family member acting irresponsibly and jokingly questions why anyone would give them any responsibility. From bad dancing to sliding down the stairs on a surfboard, the videos under this sound are great afternoon entertainment.

How To Execute This Trend

You’ll need to grab someone in a position of authority – commonly a boss or colleague – and show them doing something silly, foolish, or poorly executed. Just be sure it’s something playful and harmless – nothing negative that would go against company values. Get the balance right, and you’ll show your business’ fun side and positive working dynamics.

4. My Brain When...

🎵 Trending sound for this video: You Not The Same

The sound of a woman softly humming to herself has been used to show that moment of mental bliss when doing a therapeutic task. It’s been circulating the app for a few months now, but I’m including it in my TikTok trends for March because I’ve recently seen small businesses giving it a new lease of life.

How To Execute This Trend

If there’s a part of your job that’s particularly monotonous, relaxing, or satisfying to complete – now’s your chance to show it. Or, if your product itself falls in one of these categories, you could show yourself using it to show the serenity it provides. This angle has been popular among businesses selling journals, fitness clothes, or DIY craft kits.

Top Tip: Bonus points if you can use this trend to show gratitude to your customers. One business filmed herself packing order with the text “The sound in my head when packing orders because you guys support me financially and mentally ❤️”

Summary

That wraps up my list of the four best TikTok Trends for March, tried and tested by businesses like yours. You’ll have one to use each week of the month, so incorporate them into your social media schedule and watch the results speak for themselves. Remember to use the trending sound I’ve added under each video and to look at the videos using that sound for content inspiration. Happy filming!
