Microsoft announced the launch of its Copilot Merchant Program, delivering an improved shopping experience to customers using the AI chatbot in a similar approach to Perplexity’s Merchant Program.

Businesses that sign up for the program will be able to ensure accurate product information is shared via Copilot, increasing your chances of sales. But, how can you join the Copilot Merchant Program? And is it worth it for your business?

How To Join

As of right now, Microsoft’s Copilot Merchant Program requires you to show interest in the program through an online form. You won’t need to pay a thing to sign up.

The interest form will ask for some basic information, including:

  • Merchant name – your business name
  • Merchant URL
  • Contact name
  • Contact email address

Microsoft will then review the information and reach out to your business with next steps.

Benefits of the Copilot Merchant Program

Microsoft’s announcement explained how Copilot can improve the shopping experience:

“With Copilot, customers have a personal shopper at their service, helping guide them towards the right items and best deals. From price alerts to instant suggestions on similar products, and check-out directly within the Copilot app, you can unlock frictionless shopping for your customers by joining Copilot’s Merchant Program.”

Along with this obvious benefit to businesses, the Copilot Merchant Program can deliver additional perks for anyone looking to sell online. For example, having your products displayed by the AI assistant when a customer is searching with the AI can:

After you’ve been accepted and joined the Copilot Merchant Program, you’ll be able to edit your product information and variants to ensure customers see an accurate representation of your store’s goods.

So, even if you’re already using Google Merchant Center or signed up for Perplexity’s Merchant Program, the Copilot Merchant Program is worth checking out because it’ll help your products reach a wider audience than before – and at no cost to you.
