- Website builder Dorik improves the builder experience with a new look
- Dorik’s AI website builder creates a website based on your prompt
Dorik unveiled a new look for its website builder in early February 2024, upgrading the overall experience for users with a fresh appearance and additional features. The majority of tools and features remain the same, but there are a few things to flag with the update.
If you’re already a Dorik website owner, you don’t need to do anything. The revamped website builder has been automatically rolled out.
AI Website Builder
A considerable change is Dorik’s AI website builder which simplifies the building process into just two steps. All we had to do was fill out a basic form asking for our site’s name and a description for the AI to use as a prompt.
However, we noticed the process is considerably slower than other website builders we’ve tested. It took a couple of minutes for Dorik to generate the site completely. That being said, the copy and images were uniquely tailored to fit our prompt, alleviating some of the work we’d need to do to tidy the pages!
We could also use AI to generate or edit content on the pages – Dorik signposts the tool next to any text. You can create content from scratch or use the tool to elevate existing text, whether you want to change the length, improve the wording, or remove any errors.
Editor Changes
In addition to the AI website builder, Dorik introduced some new features and elements with the revamp to help when designing your website:
- You can now edit any text or copy directly on the page – you don’t need to click the text box and tweak the wording elsewhere
- You can add a container element to your website, letting you break apart sections with customizable rows and columns
- Dorik unveiled the media library which lets you upload and store all of your media assets, such as images and video – this helps users avoid losing track of assets, and you can easily add new visuals across pages
You can get started with Dorik for free or upgrade to one of its two premium plans, ranging from $15 to $39 per month (billed annually).
