If you’re an active Wix merchant, another way to increase your online sales has just dropped. This January, Wix has teamed up with YouTube to release a new YouTube Shopping integration, enabling merchants to sell their products directly through the popular video-sharing platform.

This exciting ecommerce development builds on from Wix’s previous collaboration with Google Shopping. To show you what’s new, I’m going to take a closer look at the expanded features, their benefits, and how you can get started from your Wix dashboard.

What Are the New Ecommerce Features?

Thanks to the Wix and YouTube Shopping integration, you’re now able to showcase your store’s products from a store tab that’s displayed on your YouTube profile. Other key benefits include:

  • Adding product tags to your content – You can tag products in YouTube videos, YouTube shorts, and livestreams to attract more customers to your online store and increase sales
  • Tracking your store’s performance – With the YouTube analytics tool, you can track the performance of all tagged products and gain a deeper understanding of your target audience’s shopping behaviors
  • Syncing products between Wix and YouTube – Your product listing details from Wix, such as imagery, descriptions, and pricing, will be automatically synced with your YouTube profile
  • Easier dashboard management – You can manage your YouTube Shopping profile directly from your Wix dashboard, making it easier to keep track of both ecommerce touchpoints

How Can I Access These New Sales Features?

To access Wix’s expanded YouTube Shopping features, you’ll need to be on a premium plan and already sell items on Wix via its free Wix Stores app.

If you fit these requirements, head to your Wix dashboard to begin. You should be able to:

  1. Click on the “Catalog” dropdown from the left-hand sidebar
  2. Select the designated “Google & YouTube” button

You can then follow the instructions on-screen to get set up. Once the “Google & YouTube” functionality is successfully enabled on your website, you’ll be able to start tagging products in any YouTube content you may have and showcasing your items from your own YouTube store tab.

Because these new YouTube Shopping features are directly integrated with your Wix dashboard, it should be easier to keep track of your ecommerce efforts between both platforms and focus on other tasks. But, if you’d like to have another management tool on hand, you can also download the Google & YouTube app and keep track of your progress on the go.
